“As my work has evolved, the dance of glowing sunlight and the mystery of shadow has taken on a leading role; more so than the subject itself. This is a lifetime quest, and I’m still on the wonderful journey of learning”. | CHRISTINE DEBROSKY Christine Debrosky worked in oil and watercolor early in her career, when she started showing her work in regional, and then national exhibitions, and winning awards. She then took a workshop in pastel, which marked a change towards impressionism, earning her further recognition with gallery representation, and additional honors. She has earned signature status with PSA, the American Impressionist Society, Distinguished Pastellist with the PSWC, and Master Circle with IAPS, exhibiting her work in numerous exhibitions with each group. Her work has been shown in many galleries, invitational and juried venues across the US, Italy and France, notably with the Societe des Pastellistes en France. Numerous publications have featured her work, such as The Pastel Journal, PleinAir magazine, and Pratique des Artes , and she has been listed in “Who’s Who in American Art” for many editions. Wanting to share knowledge, she has taught across the US for many groups, has presented at IAPS, and has also led workshops in Italy and France. She was invited faculty for the 2018 PACE convention, held in Santa Fe, NM. |
